Alfredo Coyotl Cuatlacuatl is a San Francisco Bay Area-based photographer specializing in portrait, fashion, landscape, and community and corporate event photography. Originally from Puebla, Mexico, Alfredo moved to California at the age of five with his parents and two sisters. He grew up in Oakland, CA where he currently lives and works, and earned degrees in marketing and photojournalism from San Francisco State University.
Shaped and inspired by his Mexican heritage and indigenous roots, Alfredo utilizes the art of photography to tell stories and share unique perspectives and opinions with others. He discovered photography as a creative outlet that allowed him to express his point of view and communicate his experiences and identities.
Alfredo has built a diverse portfolio of photography work early in his career, collaborating with clients such as Salesforce, San Francisco State University, the City and County of San Francisco, Office of Civic Engagement & Immigrant Affairs, the San Francisco Immigrant Rights Commission, and the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco, as well as a range of small businesses and nonprofit organizations across the Bay Area.
In 2018, he independently published his first photo book. His work has been exhibited at Wilder Art Gallery, East Bay Photo Collective, The Hills Club, and Salon Nuna.
